Tonja Haddad Coleman is the managing partner of Tonja Haddad, PA. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. While attending NSU, Ms. Coleman was the Articles Editor for the Nova Law Review. She also served on the Executive Boards for National Association of Public Interest Law and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and was the recipient of the Order of the Barrister Award. Ms. Coleman also studied International Human Rights under United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Ms. Coleman began her legal career at a large firm, where she concentrated her practice on Labor and Employment Law, Contract Law, Construction Litigation, and Fraud Litigation. Thereafter, Ms. Coleman was employed as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County. Finally, Ms. Coleman and her partner opened Tonja Haddad, PA, where Ms. Coleman concentrates her practice in both civil and criminal litigation and appeals. She is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit, and the District of Columbia. Ms. Coleman is also an adjunct professor of law at NSU, and has been teaching Law Students at her alma mater since 2008.

​Tonja Haddad, PA represents a vast number of businesses, for which it provides an immense range of educational, transactional, and litigation services, focusing primarily on Employment-related issues. Ms. Coleman serves as an attorney for the International Union of Police Associations, representing police officer members. Finally, Ms. Coleman is a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator, presiding over binding and non-binding arbitrations on a myriad of issues, from PIP to Labor Disputes.

Ms. Coleman is actively involved in the legal community. She is a Volunteer Voting Rights Attorney, an instructor for Teaching Justice, serves on the Broward County Bar Professionalism Committee, is the past chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee Group 17H, past-president of the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association, which won the National Foundation for Women’s Bar Association Public Service and Outstanding Member program Award while she was President for its PACE Books and Breakfast program, and a volunteer mentor for at-risk juveniles.

Ms. Coleman is also enthusiastically involved in her local community as a team coach for the Special Olympics, a team leader for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, a member of Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale, from whom she received the “Fundraising Phenomenon” award, a Member of the St. Anthony Homeless Ministry, a volunteer with PACE Center for Girls, a former Board Member of the Broward County Human Rights Board, a member of the Junior Welfare Society, and a volunteer and fundraiser for Forever Family and HANDY. She also raises funds for various charities through her passion for running.
