Attorney Walker began his career as an associate trial attorney for the Allegheny Office of Conflict Counsel in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (OCC). While at the OCC, attorney Walker worked to defend indigent clients that were unable to be represented by the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender due to a conflict of interest. As a trial attorney for OCC, attorney Walker handled hundreds of cases ranging from simple assault to murder. Eventually, attorney Walker was elevated to the position of senior counsel for the Office of Conflict Counsel and was second in charge of the office behind the Chief Counsel, Mr. Richard Narvin.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Attorney Walker obtained his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from West Virginia State College, now West Virginia State University; an M.A. Degree in Education/Leadership Studies from Marshall University, and a J.D. degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. Attorney Walker is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Attorney Walker’s leadership qualities were recognized by his law school classmates as he was elected President of the Black Law Student Association, where he assisted with the scholarship search for law students, organized legal lecture series and mentored first year law students. While only a second year law student, Attorney Walker was the recipient of the sought after CALI Award of Excellence for Trial Advocacy, which is presented to the student receiving the highest reviews on mock trials and the highest grade in the trial advocacy class, which includes second and third year law students. After being recognized for excellence in both appellate and trial Advocacy, attorney Walker was honored to be selected to the National Order of the Barristers, which is only given to the top litigators in the entire graduating class.
Prior to law school, attorney Walker graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Marshall University; was Twice elected as president of the Student Government Association at West Virginia State College; voted citizen of the year by the Xi Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated; and unanimously voted as the Freshman Athlete of the Year at West Virginia State College by excelling in football, basketball and track all while carrying a full course load.
Attorney Walker was duly initiated through the Xi Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated in 1999 and is an active member of the Iota Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Attorney Walker was also selected to the American Inns of Court, previously served on the Board of Trustees for Propel Schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and frequently volunteers for speaking engagements to address education, leadership and legal issues.
